Barber's Seasoning Salt started in the early 1980's in the kitchen of Jim and Annette Barber. Jim served as a cook in the Air Force then later owned several restaurants where he not only managed but cooked. He was dissatisfied in the seasonings that were available at the time and set out to create a superior seasoning, which he did in Barber's Seasoning. Jim and Annette ran the business for years until Jim's death in 1988. Annette continued to run the business until 2017, at that point their children, Sheila and James and their spouses, Jay and Janet respectively, started to assume the responsibilities of the business. They will strive to continue to share their parents' legacy of providing a great product built on hard work, honesty, and faith.
Barber's Seasoning is made by hand in a facility located on the family's property in the town of Harrells, NC where the product originated.
Barber's Seasoning is versatile and is delicious on a wide variety of foods; i.e. pork, chicken, turkey, beef, seafood, and wild game. It can also be used on vegetables, in soups, casseroles, on popcorn, french fries, as a rub, etc.
